Why Certification Matters for You

Safety

IMPORTANT. Please read the following information before assembling or using this product. Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death. Play Systems does not accept liability for accidents or damage caused by improper use.

SUPERVISION. This product must always be used under adult supervision.

FALL HAZARD. Falls can happen suddenly if a child is not carefully monitored, or if this device is not correctly set up for a child’s size and ability.

CHOKING HAZARD. This product is assembled with screws and other small components.

SUFFOCATION. Remove and dispose of all packaging materials and keep these out of reach of children. Please recycle packaging where possible.

SAFE USE. This product has been designed to be used by one child at a time. This excludes the Double Kitchen Helper (GA.10130-B) which is suitable for two children. All products have a safe weight limit of 50 kg.
This product is intended for children 18 months and older. Because each child’s development is unique, common sense should be used to assess a child’s ability to use this product safely. Please consider your child’s size, fine motor skills and their coordination skills before allowing them to use this product.
This product is intended for indoor use only. Never set this product up near stairs or steps, near swimming pools or on unstable or uneven surfaces.

SURFACING REQUIREMENTS. Kitchen Helpers are only intended to be used on hard flooring such as vinyl, wood or tiles. We recommend that other products such as climbing frames and ramps, be used on soft flooring such as carpet.
We do not recommend using wooden products in very humid environments such as bathrooms.

SAFETY STANDARDS. This product has been tested in accordance with:

  • AS/NZS 8124.1:2023 Safety of Toys, Part 1.
  • AS/NZS 8124.6:2016 Safety of Toys, Part 6.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE. Play Systems products are finished in a hard wax oil which is clear, durable, low maintenance and food safe. It is also stain resistant against fruit juices, saliva, milk and water.

  • This product can be cleaned with a damp, soft cloth and mild cleaning agent.
  • Plywood edges will absorb water, avoid saturation and keep away from heat sources.
  • Check the product for damage or other problems before using for the first time.
  • Continue checking it regularly for signs of wear, cracking, defects or damage. Discontinue use if damage is present.
